River, canals and a new CBD: lawn mowing Maroochydore up close
Local context
Maroochydore covers about 12.6 km² on the south bank of the Maroochy River, taking in Cotton Tree, where the foreshore is near-continuous parkland, and a surf beach. Maroochy Waters adds a canal estate with river access, and the former Horton Park golf course site, vacated when the course moved to Bli Bli, is becoming the new city centre.
Common challenges
That mix produces three very different lawns: narrow townhouse and unit strips, older house blocks along the river, and canal-side lawns in Maroochy Waters. Lower river-side yards can stay soft for days after heavy rain, and paved courtyards fill with weeds between visits.
Why it matters
With 42.1% of homes rented, many of those lawns are judged at routine and final inspections. A yard that has slipped can count against a tenant at the bond inspection, or make a property slower to re-let. For a landlord who doesn't live nearby, the agent's inspection photos may be the only look they get at the lawn, so it has to be right on that day.
Our approach
Our lawn mowing Maroochydore rounds run from our base in the suburb. We time visits around inspections, stay off soft river-side ground until it firms up, and add weeding and green waste removal where the yard needs it.
